Okay, I know this isn’t a travel post but I thought I’d stray away from that just so I could write a post about this theatre show that I saw on Tuesday night.
I had no idea what the show was about so just before the show I had a little google to find out. Wikipedia information states ‘Hamilton: An American Musical is a sung and rapped through musical about the life of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, with music, lyrics, and book by Lin-Manuel Miranda inspired by the 2004 biography ‘Alexander Hamilton’ by historian Ron Chernow. Incorporating hip-hop, rhythm and blues, pop music, soul music, traditional-style show tunes’
One word. AMAZING!! The acting, the singing, the songs. My gosh the songs were something else. I even had one of the songs stuck in my head at the interval. Which only proves just how good the songs are. Honestly, it was incredible. I laughed, I cried, I smiled.. I know the tickets are super hard to get hold of (Thank you to my cousin for booking tickets in January.. 2017) but if you can then you seriously have to go see it. It’s one of the best musicals that I’ve seen in a very long time and between you and me, it’s probably on par with Wicked as my favourite theatre show. I’ve seen Wicked four times, so Hamilton now being on par says it all. Seriously go see it!
I’m going to attach the link for Ticketmaster and the Hamilton Website at the bottom of this post, just to help you find a ticket if you’re interested.
Thanks for reading x
